Privacy policy
This site collects what you type into a form or into the WhatsApp chat. This page says what happens to it. Last updated 15 October 2026.
Who we are
Sentry Sprinkler Protection Limited, company number 14247310, registered at 37 Dickens Drive, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 9EG. We are the data controller for anything you send us through this website.
What we collect, and when
Only what you enter into one of the two forms on this site: your name, phone number, email address, the postcode and type of the building, which service you need, and anything you write in the message box. A form sends nothing until you press send.
Alongside it we record the page you were on when you sent it and the time you sent it, so we know what you were reading when you got in touch.
The WhatsApp chat
If you write a message in the WhatsApp chat window on this site, we receive what you type, the page you were on and the time, whether or not you press Send. It comes to us by email and is kept with our enquiries, on the same terms as an enquiry below. We use it only to reply to you and to understand what people ask us.
What this website collects on its own
This website does not use advertising trackers, social media pixels or third-party cookies, and it sets no cookies of its own. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you: we see how many people read which page and roughly where they came from, not who they are.
The Google map of our Business Profile, at the foot of every page and on the town, contact and booking pages, loads with the page. When it does, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. The cookie policy explains that in full, and why there is no cookie banner.
Your browser itself may offer to remember what you type into a form (autofill). That is your browser's feature, kept on your own device; the website does not store it and we cannot see it.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Legitimate interests: you contacted a contractor asking for a service, and we need your details to reply and to quote. If you become a customer, we keep them because we need them to perform the contract and to keep the service records the fire safety standards require.
Where it goes
An enquiry travels from this website to a spreadsheet and an email inbox we control. Those are hosted by Google. The website itself is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles the request but does not store the contents of your enquiry. Nobody else receives it. We do not sell data and we do not share it with marketing companies.
Files you attach
If you attach a PDF or a photo, it is checked on the way in and stored in a private Google Drive folder that only we can open. Photos are rebuilt from their pixels before they are stored, which removes the hidden data a phone adds, including the location where the picture was taken. We look at attachments only to answer your enquiry. A file is deleted after a year, and one attached to an enquiry that was never sent is deleted after three days.
How long we keep it
If you do not become a customer, we delete the enquiry after two years. If you do, we keep the job records for seven years, because that is how long UK company records have to be retained, and service history on a fire suppression system is worth having for at least that long anyway.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email or ring us and we will do it within one month, free of charge.
If you think we have handled your data badly and we have not put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If what this site does with your data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
